Nancy Rodriguez

Director of Communications

Nancy Rodriguez leads ACS’s media relations strategy as part of the Communications Department. Before joining ACS, Rodriguez was a journalist for nearly 20 years, focusing on education, state government and the impact of both on students and their families.

Rodriguez has been a communications and media relations professional since 2011. She served seven years as the Assistant Director of Communications and Media Liaison for the Kentucky Department of Education and, most recently, was press secretary for the Council of Chief State School Officers, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states and other U.S. jurisdictions.

Rodriguez received her B.A. from Hofstra University in English with minors in communications and international affairs and holds a Master’s in communications from Bellarmine University. She also has a Certificate in Social Media Management from Georgetown University.

A native Rhode Islander, Rodriguez lives in Virginia with her husband and son.
