A Conversation with Neil Eggleston

Neil Eggleston, Counsel to President Obama from 2014 to 2017, will be joining ACS to discuss his career in government, academia, and a law firm. It will be a wide-ranging, fascinating conversation that covers questions which Professor Eggleston has addressed throughout his legal career, including ones about executive privilege, presidential power, and the judiciary's approach to government structures.

Systemic Corruption and Democratic Integrity in the US: A Constitutional Law Approach

Please join the American Constitution Society as we host Professor Timothy Kuhner from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Professor Kuhner's academic work takes a novel approach to the issue of corruption in US politics, analyzing the problem from a unique constitutional law perspective. Professor Kuhner will discuss the challenges that this corruption poses to US politics, especially in light of core 21st century challenges, such as rising inequality, authoritarianism, and unmitigated climate change. Decoding Article 3: Assessing Trump's 14th Amendment Eligibility

The American Constitution Society chapter at the University of Michigan Law School is excited to bring you the following event on Monday, February 5th at 12 PM. We will be discussing Trump v. Anderson with Gerard Magliocca, Samuel R. Rosen Professor of Law at IU McKinney and a nationally known expert in constitutional law. He has been featured in the Washington Post and New York Times, and recently testified in the Colorado and Maine hearings regarding Trump’s eligibility to run for office. Professor Primus will moderate.
