Safeguarding Reproductive Freedoms
Please join If/When/How and ACS at Michigan Law in welcoming Bonsitu Kitaba, the Legal Director of the ACLU of Michigan, to campus for a discussion on Michigan Proposal 3: Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative (2022). This ballot initiative brought together community members across legal, policy, communications, and organizing spaces. As a key leader in this effort, Kitaba will share how the proposal transformed from an idea into a successful statewide campaign. She will also discuss the current national landscape of reproductive rights.
Data Privacy, Immigration, and Public Discontent
This event will feature a discussion of the relationship between data privacy, immigration enforcement, and the First Amendment. The event will feature a panel of Duke Law faculty, and will focus on the intersection of free speech, immigration enforcement, and the use of biometric data and other data privacy issues. The Roger Williams University School of Law American Constitution Society (ACS) Chapter is proud to host Zinelle October, Executive Vice President of the American Constitution Society, for a special luncheon on March 23rd.

Trust, Science, and Environmental Law
Former GMU Faculty, Professor Caroline Cecot, will speak and facilitate discussion on the evolving relationship between scientific expertise, public trust, and environmental regulation. Professor Cecot will discuss the current state of environmental law, drawing on her current works to facilitate discussion.
