ACS and Health Law Society: Reproductive Rights Event

The ACS chapter at ASU will partner with the Health Law Society to discuss reproductive rights in Arizona. Join us for a discussion on the Arizona ballot initiative for reproductive freedom, as well as other policy measures to support these rights. Our speakers will include Andy Goana and Jennifer Piatt, both experts in reproductive freedom policy.

ACS NOLA: Lunch and Learn with PJI

Please join the ACS New Orleans Lawyer Chapter for lunch and a presentation from staff of the Promise of Justice Initiative (PJI). The Promise of Justice Initiative (PJI) is a de-carceration legal organization that uses criminal defense, civil rights litigation, policy advocacy, community power building and storytelling as tools to fight for and build the promise of dignity, autonomy, and justice. All lawyers, legal and policy staff, and law students are invited to attend and join the conversation.

Issue 1: Abortion and IVF Discussion

It has been one year since the passing of issue 1 in the State of Ohio, which returned Ohio to the standard in Roe v. Wade. This event will have four speakers discuss what has happened in Ohio after the passing of Issue 1. The speakers include Professor Tracy Thomas, University of Akron School of Law; Professor Lee Strang; The Ohio State University School of Law; Professor Jonathan Entin, Case Western School of Law; Dr. Alicia Thompson, D.O. OB/GYN, Westar OB/GYN. This event is co-sponsored with the Federalist Society and the St. Thomas Moore Society.
