Votes, Voices, Verdicts: Lawyers Shaping Election Integrity

Please join the ACS University of Denver Student Chapter for a program exploring voting rights and election integrity. Martha Tierney of Tierney Lawrence, LLC and Amber McReynolds of the Colorado Independent Redistricting Commission will discuss national and local voting rights and elections law issues. In the first presidential election since the Supreme Court’s decision in Brnovich v. DNC, the panel will discuss how state voting procedures and protections might look different across the country from previous presidential elections. Taking a look at local issues, both panelists will discuss their work in ensuring that the right to vote is open and fair.

ACS Columbia: Discussion with Judge Jia Cobb

The Columbia Law School Chapter of the American Constitution Society will host Judge Jia Cobb of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Judge Cobb will discuss her career in public defense, path to the bench, and time on the D.C. District Court, as well as advice for law students interested in pursuing a career in the judiciary.

New Jersey Voter Registration Drive

Join ACS Rutgers Newark volunteers help register voters at the Collingswood Public Library in Collingswood, NJ!

The chapter will be collaborating with the RUC Votes Coalition (RUCVC), a Rutgers-Camden’s student-led, non-partisan organization focused on increasing student, faculty, and staff voter engagement and voter education. Working with our campus partners like NJPIRG and Student Government Association and local partners like the League of Women Voters, RUCVC looks to institutionalize a culture of civic engagement throughout the campus for this semester and beyond.
