Judge Millett is a Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She will discuss her career on the federal bench while also providing invaluable insights for students interested in clerking and appellate advocacy. The event will be cosponsored by the Harvard Woman's Law Association (WLA).

The Injustice of Poverty: A Discussion of How Poverty and Homelessness Impair Access to Justice
Speaker Ashley Lowe from Lakeshore Legal Aid is our guest speaker. She will be addressing how poverty, unemployment and homelessness impact an American's access to justice, including rights guaranteed to them under the U.S. Constitution.
The Speaking event will begin at 6pm and conclude at 7pm, after which there will be a catered reception in the University of Detroit Mercy Law School Atrium.
A Retrospective on Kennedy v. Bremerton
Join ACS and Judge Smith of the 9th Circuit as he talks about the Kennedy v. Bremerton decision. He will discuss key differences between the 9th Circuit and Supreme Court opinions of the case along with issues of applying "history and tradition" in an Establishment Clause context.
