Please join the University of Chicago's ACS chapter in welcoming Mary Richardson-Lowry, the Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. As the lead attorney for the city, Richardson-Lowry’s role is to provide legal counsel and representation for the city’s departments, boards, and the city council. She is the first African American female to serve in the role. Before coming to the role, Richardson-Lowry's legal career covered private practice, in-house work, and public service.
This event will be cohosted by UChicago's Black Law Students Association and the Law and Women's Caucus.
This event will be a check-in for 2025 and discuss future events the organization will host this year.
This is going to be an Alternative Curriculum with Law Students for Black lives. The topic will be over Property with Professor Haynes.
