ACS Northwestern's second event of the spring semester, a conversation with Former DOJ Deputy Chiefs Troy Edwards and Ashley Chung. Students will be joining us on Tuesday, March 3rd at 3:30pm in MC 195 (Strawn Hall) to discuss how the Justice Department has been weaponized and how to reestablish its independence. The Future of the Colorado River: Law, Governance, and Scarcity
With negotiators still working toward a long-term agreement on the management of the Colorado River, questions surrounding water governance in the Basin are more urgent than ever. In this ACS event, Professor Rhett Larson will examine the legal and institutional framework that governs the River, including the mechanics of water rights adjudications, the division of authority between federal and state actors, and the administrative tools available to address prolonged scarcity.
