ACS New Orleans: Plantations and Prisons: A History of Forced Labor in Louisiana

The Promise of Justice Initiative (PJI) is partnering with Tulane Law's ACS Chapter to screen their documentary "Plantations and Prisons: A History of Forced Labor in Louisiana" so students and faculty can learn more about PJI's work to end forced labor in prisons in Louisiana like Angola. The documentary features perspectives from former incarcerated individuals and their experiences in the Louisiana prison system. The event will be followed with a panel of PJI advocates.

SB1 Information Session & Testimony Workshop

The American Constitution Society at the University of Cincinnati College of Law is cosponsoring an SB1 Information Session & Testimony Workshop to help students learn about, prepare, and submit testimony regarding Ohio's bill on restricting higher education, DEI, and teachers' ability to organize. Co-sponsors include Women in Law, Out & Allies, Muslim Lawyers Association, Jewish Law Students Association, Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, First Generation Law Students, and DREAM.
