Presidential Nominee Vetting Project

A joint project of ACS and Lawyers United

Presidential appointees, both in agencies and other executive offices, hold incredible power and discretion and many are not formally vetted before appointment. ACS is vetting various presidential appointees and has established a US Attorneys Vetting Project through Lawyers United (a project of ACS). Through this project, volunteer vetters are researching the background of all US Attorney appointees and interim appointees.

We are looking for additional volunteers to help in these efforts. Volunteers will research nominee backgrounds and flag areas for potential conflicts of interest. The total time commitment is around 10-15 hours over the course of a few weeks and research can be done remotely. Volunteers will receive training and input their research into our online database.

We are not currently taking volunteers. If you have questions about this project, please email LCEmails@acslaw.org with the subject line “Presidential Nominee Vetting.”
