Visit to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Conversation with Judge L. Felipe Restrepo
Judge L. Felipe Restrepo of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has kindly invited ACS members to come to a Third Circuit argument and then visit his chambers afterwards.. He is sitting for arguments on Wednesday, November 8th from 1:00pm - 4pm and Thursday, November 9th from 8:30am - 11am. There will be around 90 minutes of argument, followed by a closed-door panel caucus that will take around 30 minutes, and finally a visit to the Judge’s chambers afterward. On both days, everyone will need to arrive on time and be willing to stay for the entire session. On Wednesday, the judge will be hearing a Sixth Amendment right to effective counsel claim, a qualified immunity claim, and a bankruptcy case about FTX. On Thursday, the judge will be hearing a case on an Eighth Amendment claim regarding prison abuse and an appeal regarding a habeas corpus petition.
