Professor Kate Shaw will speak with Joshua Matz about his new book (written with Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe),

To End a Presidency: The Power of Impeachment, which provides a measured guide to prior impeachment efforts and argues that we must re-think impeachment as an option for the twenty-first century.

Joshua Matz is a widely-published constitutional scholar and former clerk for Justice Anthony Kennedy. He is the author of 2014's award-winning Uncertain Justice: The Roberts Court and the Constitution, also with Laurence Tribe.

Matz is of counsel at Kaplan Hecker & Fink LLP and Gupta Wessler PLLC. In addition to his commercial work in trial and appellate litigation, he also maintains a diverse civil rights practice and has litigated questions relating to LGBTQ rights, religious liberty, freedom of speech, defamation liability, the Second Amendment, and the Emoluments Clause.Since 2017, Matz has also published the legal blog Take Care, which provides real-time coverage and analysis of legal developments in the current administration.
