Starting Fresh: A Policy Discussion to Plan for the Future

Zoom

We consistently hear in the news and on social media, that aspects of US society and government that must change. But how can they change, and what roles do law students and lawyers have in the process? On Thursday, Oct. 29th at noon, join the DU Law student chapters of the American Constitution Society, Coalition for Criminal Justice Reform, Public Interest Law Group, and the National Lawyers Guild for a discussion of three different topics:

  • The criminal system: abolition or reform?
  • The Constitution: how's it doing?
  • The role of law students and lawyers in change making.

This discussion will begin with comments from representatives of the student organizations, and then move to breakout rooms of 8 or less where students can share their own views on the different topics.
