Restoring Voting Rights for Returning Citizens

Mary Fahy, adjunct professor at Stetson, will be giving a presentation explaining the obstacles commonly faced by returning citizens in getting their voting rights restored. Florida passed Amendment 4 in 2018 but many eligible citizens are unable to navigate the process themselves. She will share nonpartisan PRO BONO opportunity for students to conduct research on behalf of returning citizens and discuss the changes to voter registration. Students will learn about how to register and how to look up their current registration status. The presentation will be followed by a brief Q&A.
