Oral Advocacy Tips and Tricks

Join the UNLV Boyd ACS Chapter to learn how to be a better oral advocate in debates with friends and family, as well as in court! We will talk to Kara Gaston, a Deputy Public Defender for the Clark County Public Defender's Office. She graduated from American University Washington College of Law in 2017. During college and law school she competed in numerous mock trial competitions and even went to Nationals! As a lawyer, she has done dozens of adversarial hearings and seven jury trials. She has also assisted the SOA Mock Trial team for the last four years.
