As Director of Legal Strategies, Chiraag Bains supervises all litigation and legal advocacy at Demos. The docket is national and includes actions to stop unlawful voter purges, ensure voter registration opportunities and language access in elections, and protect the voting rights of pretrial detainees and others unlawfully disenfranchised through the criminal justice system. Chiraag joined Demos in February 2018. He is committed to racial justice and building an inclusive democracy.
