The killing of George Floyd at the hands of the police has devastated the United States. As the streets have filled with people protesting his death, a constant message echoes: enough is enough.
People have asked what they can do during this moment to help promote change, and we are here to provide you a roadmap. Please join Criminal Justice Reform Advocate and Lawyer Carlton Miller and ACS Student Leader David Adeleye for a candid conversation about the practical steps you can take to promote greater police accountability in your city and state. Carlton Miller is the former advisor to Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards and has successfully helped pass reforms to increase police accountability and improve police use of force policies across the nation. David Adeleye is the former President of the American Constitution Society at Indiana University Maurer School of Law and will moderate the conversation.Â
