How the MDCR Protects LGBT Rights in the Private Sector

ACS will host Dr. Agustin Arbulu, Director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and Professor Catherine Archibald of Detroit Mercy Law. The panel will discuss the Michigan Civil Rights Commission expanding its interpretation of the Elliott-Larson Civil Rights Act to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. The discussion will also include how Michigan is protecting LGBT rights at the state and local levels related to Michigan employers.
