First Amendment Versus Civil Rights with Paul Smith

W&M ACS is joining IBRL and Election Law Society to co-sponsor a talk by Paul Smith, the Vice President of Litigation and Strategy and the Campaign Legal Center, on the conservative efforts to "weaponize the First Amendment," with a particular focus on how the movement seeks to weaken civil rights laws. Mr. Smith is a renowned civil liberties and election law litigator who has argued before the Supreme Court on 21 occasions; he serves on the ACS Board of Advisors and was formerly the co-chair of Lambda Legal.
