Federalism in 2020: Local and Federal Government Conflicts in Times of Crisis

Being just over two-thirds of the way done with the year, 2020 has already been rife with constitutional conflicts. Between mitigating the COVID-19 pandemic, and responding to massive Black Lives Matter protests, local governments have fallen into a precarious spot in trying to solve the nation's problems. Federal pressures on cities' handling of these problems open many question on how the Tenth Amendment operates during times of crisis.

Join us via Zoom on Constitution Day, September 17th, at 6:30 PM EST as we explore these questions with Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears, Indianapolis Corporation Counsel Donnie Morgan, and partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, Scott Chinn, who will be moderating.
