Doing Justice in the Trump Era: A Conversation with the Hon. Gurbir Grewal

The Honorable Gurbir S. Grewal, the Attorney General of New Jersey, will discuss New Jersey's efforts to defend the rule of law and vindicate progressive constitutional values in the Trump era. 

Attorney General Grewal was appointed by Governor Phil Murphy and took office in January 2018, becoming the first Sikh-American attorney general in American history. Before becoming New Jersey Attorney General, Grewal served as Bergen County Prosecutor, the chief law enforcement officer of the most populous county in New Jersey. From 2010 to 2016, Grewal worked as an Assistant United States Attorney (“AUSA”) in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, where he served as Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit from 2014 to 2016 and oversaw the investigation and prosecution of all major white collar and cybercrimes in the District of New Jersey. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and William & Mary Law School.
