Please Join SUNY Buffalo ACS chapter as we engage in a discussion with sitting New York Court of Appeals Associate Judge, Eugene M. Fahey about nuances and processes that a judge must go through when deciding a case. Judge Fahey will be joined by retired Judge Thomas Franczyk, who will be hosting and moderating the conversation.

Featured Speakers: Hon. Eugene M. Fahey, Associate Judge of the Court of Appeals, born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo School of Law in 1984. In 1996, he won his first judicial election to the New York Supreme Court and was re-elected in 2010. In January 2015, Judge Fahey was nominated to the Court of Appeals by Governor Andrew Cuomo. The New York State Senate unanimously confirmed that nomination on February 9, 2015. 

Hon. Thomas Franczyk, served as an Assistant District Attorney for more than 10 years before he was appointed to Buffalo City Court Judge in 1996 and then to Erie County Court Judge in 2007, also holding numerous other titles within the court system in WNY. Judge Franczyk now serves as the Co-Director of Trial Advocacy at SUNY Buffalo School of Law.
