BC Law ACS welcomes Professor Pam Karlan for a discussion of the 2020 Election
The ACS Boston Student Chapter is thrilled to host Professor Pam Karlan for a discussion of the 2020 Election. This talk will address the logistical, legal, and political barriers to full participation in the upcoming election. Professor Karlan will explore not only the COVID-related issues in this election, but also some of the larger issues--for example, the re-enfranchisement of returning offenders.
Professor Karlan is the Kenneth and Harle Montgomery Professor of Public Interest Law and the director of the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic at Stanford Law School. She recently presented a winning oral argument at the Supreme Court as attorney for Bostock and Zarda. She also provided expert testimony during the Trump Impeachment Hearings about Constitutional abuses of power. She has written extensively about the political process of law, including the book The Law of Democracy, coauthored by Samuel Issacharoff.
