ACS WashU Law - Congressional Oversight Workshop w/ CoEqual

Bryant Cave Moot Court Room, AB Hall, St. Louis, MO

Join teh ACS WashU Law Student Chapter, in partnership with CoEqual, to pilot a workshop on congressional oversight!

This workshop will be lead by Kristen Amerling and Russ Anello, and will provide an overview on congressional oversight powers, featuring two mock investigation exercises and an informal lunch conversation with congressional oversight veterans. It will include a one-and-a-half hour morning session that introduces the purpose of oversight and major congressional investigative powers; a one-hour lunch/mingling session in which students and oversight practitioners would have a conversation about career paths in this field; and a one-hour after-lunch session on congressional powers to investigate the other branches of government.

CoEqual is a nonpartisan organization focused on sharing information and institutional knowledge that helps Congress serve the American people effectively and informs the public about Congress’s essential role. Many members of CoEqual's team have previously worked on Capitol Hill and have prior experience in congressional oversight roles.
