ACS Supreme Court Preview- SCOTUS in Action

October 7th was the first day of oral arguments for the 2019 Supreme Court term. However, now you are done with midterms and realize you have questions about the docket. The Supreme Court is looking at some very important issues and we want to discuss them. 

Mizzou Law ACS will have some of our own Mizzou Law experts discussing a few cases. The discussion will include Kahler v. Kansas, which discusses whether the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments require states to provide an insanity defense in criminal prosecutions. As well as the trio of cases discussing whether sex discrimination forbids discrimination against LGBTQ employees: Altitude Express Inc. v. Zarda, Bostock v. Clayton County, and R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
