ACS North Florida: Second Amendment at the Supreme Court: Heller, Bruen & Beyond

Join the ACS Florida Chapters for a discussion of the history, current status, and future of Second Amendment Law. This term, the Supreme Court will decide New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen, a challenge to New York state's concealed handgun carry licensing system. It is the most significant Second Amendment case the court has heard in more than a decade. The case could not only decide the scope of gun rights outside of the home but also decide the standard by which these cases are decided going forward. This webinar will discuss how Second Amendment doctrine has developed over the last thirty years, its current state, and possible implications of the Bruen decision.

Featuring:

Carina Bentata, Constitutional Law Fellow, Everytown for Gun Safety

Mark Frassetto, Deputy Director of Second Amendment History and Scholarship, Everytown Law
