ACS Los Angeles: Fall Happy Hour with ACS President and Executive Vice President

Please join the ACS Los Angeles Lawyer Chapter for a fall happy hour featuring ACS President Phil Brest and ACS Executive Vice President Zinelle October. 

Phil joined ACS in January, having previously served as the White House Senior Counsel who directed the Biden administration’s judicial nominations. Phil helped lead efforts to confirm 235 Article III judges—the most by any Presidential administration in nearly five decades. Before joining the Biden White House, he spent six years working for the Senate Judiciary Committee, most recently as Chief Counsel for Nominations and Senior Advisor to U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-Ill). 

Zinelle joined ACS in November 2010 and serves as a thought partner to the President and focuses on the programmatic, network and external aspects of the organization. She has written and spoken about, among other things, voting rights, the importance of community engagement, protecting democracy and the rule of law, and defending our Constitution. She currently serves as a National Advisory Committee (NAC) member for the Culture of Health Leadership Institute for Racial Healing. In addition, she is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA), National Bar Association (NBA) and Society of American Law Teachers (SALT).
