A Deep Dive Into the Death Penalty: The Julius Jones Case

This event features the Julius Jones Defense Team. 

Zoom-in on one case: Julius Jones, a man convicted of murder at age 19 and sentenced to die. On Nov. 18th, 2021, just four hours before his execution, Oklahoma’s Governor commuted his sentence to life.

Amanda Bass, Assistant Federal Public Defender, Capital Habeas Unit, and the rest of the Julius Jones defense team discuss the Jones case, the final months, days, and hours before a reprieve, and what the change of sentence may mean for Jones and/or other Death Row inmates.
