Communications Associate

The ACS Communications Associate for Network Advancement will perform a wide variety of communication support tasks in collaboration with ACS’s Department of Network Advancement. The Associate will assist with marketing network events via emails, the ACS website, and on social media. Specific responsibilities will include creating and monitoring content for social media platforms; working to increase ACS Chapters and members visibility across digital platforms; drafting marketing materials; and tracking and sharing the performance of marketing outreach. This position is housed within the Department of Communications, and the Associate will work closely with the Vice President of Communications and the Department of Network Advancement to strengthen communications support for the ACS’s more than 250 lawyer and student chapters nationwide.

Evening work is sometimes required for specific events, but weekend work is limited to major conferences once or twice per year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired qualities and background include:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • HTML, Pardot, and Salesforce skills strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Canva and with social media platforms and basic knowledge of SEO preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivation/ability to work independently
  • Good judgement
  • Ability to manage a number of diverse projects and budget time accordingly
  • A strong commitment to ACS’s mission.

Location

This position can be remotely performed anywhere within the United States or performed with a hybrid work environment, with a preference for someone located in commuting distance to Washington, D.C.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.

 BENEFITS and COMPENSATION 

  • The salary range is $45,000 to $50,000, depending on experience.
  • 4-day work week schedule.
