Private: Cell Phone Records Scandal Rages--from AmericaBlog to the MSM

John Aravosis of AmericaBlog has been drawing attention to companies that allow you to purchase the records of cell phone calls without the phone owner's consent. It's unclear how these third party companies obtain this information, but Aravosis has speculated that people on the inside of the service providers are being bribed. A few days ago, for $110, he obtained the records for his own cell. Today, just by knowning the cell's number, he obtained Wesley Clark's records for $89. Congress has known about the activities of the companies providing these record for some time but has not acted.
The story went mainstream today with CNN featuring it. CBS and NBC News ran the story in their evening broadcasts moments ago.
