In Conversation with Honorable Carlton Reeves and ACS President Phil Brest

Join the ACS University of Mississippi Law Center Student Chapter for a discussion with the Honorable Carlton Reeves and ACS President Phil Brest.

Judge Reeves is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi and chair of the United States Sentencing Commission. Reeves was the district court judge in the case that resulted in the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

Phil Brest served as a Special Assistant to President Biden and a Senior White House Counsel, Chief Nominations Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee under Senator Durbin, and Chief Counsel to Senator Feinstein prior to his appointment as ACS President last year.

Our speakers will discuss their lives and how they have came to be where they are. They will also discuss the rule of law and how that is important going forward with a president like the one we have currently.
