An evening with Bill Baer
The Antitrust Law Association and ACS welcome Bill Baer, the only attorney to have led antitrust enforcement at both U.S. antitrust agencies. Bill Baer served as assistant attorney general for Antitrust at the DOJ during the Obama Administration from 2013 to 2016.
Previously, Bill Baer served as director of the Bureau of Competition at the Federal Trade Commission from 1995 to 1999. Bill Baer also served as the acting associate attorney general from 2016 to early 2017, during which time he led the effort to hold financial institutions accountable in the residential mortgage-backed securities crisis. Bill Baer has been named both the world’s best competition lawyer and one of the most influential attorneys of the last decade.
On Monday, Nov. 2nd, from 5- 6 p.m., students will join Bill Baer for dinner to discuss: the relationship between Antitrust and Democracy, Bipartisanship in Antitrust, the impact of Antitrust Law on day-to-day life, and Careers in Antitrust Enforcement.
