Voting Rights in 2026: Defending Democracy at the Polls

The Texas Election Protection Coalition is holding nonpartisan trainings for Texas attorneys and law students who are interested in getting involved during the 2026 midterm election.

The training will cover the basics of protecting the polls, as well as the unique roles that attorneys and law students can play in Election Protection. The volunteers serve as trusted eyes and ears at the polls, helping ensure every voter can cast a ballot without obstacles. This training will prepare you to answer voter questions, check your polling place for ADA compliance, flag and report problems as they come up, track information that improves future elections, and make sure polling sites stay in compliance with election law.

We will have two speakers from the TEPC giving the presentation and training.
