University of Kansas School of Law – ICE Accountability Symposium

ACS will be hosting, alongside HALSA (Somos LawHawks), an ICE Accountability Symposium where we will be discussing the efforts of those in the community and legal field to combat ICE atrocities. We will be having an immigration professor and practitioner, Hannah Jepssen Soo serve as our moderator. We will be having Lauren Bonds form the National Police Accountability Program to discuss the litigation and policy initiatives taken on the national level. We will be having Mariel Ferrero from the Lawrence Sanctuary Alliance there as well speaking about the grassroots movements and transmission of information on the ground level. We will be catering tortas from a local Mexican restaurant.
