PRESENTACIÓN DE ESTUDIO: SALAS ESPECIALIZADAS EN CASOS DE VIOLENCIA DOMÉSTICA EN PUERTO RICO: CONSECUENCIAS PARA LA PROTECCIÓN DE PARTES EN CASOS CIVILES
The American Constitution Society – University of Puerto Rico Law School Student Chapter, in collaboration with ProBonoVIVID (Domestic Violence ProBono), invites you to a presentation of the study “Salas Especializadas en Casos de Violencia Doméstica en Puerto Rico: Consecuencias para la Protección de Partes en Casos Civiles.” The event will feature distinguished speakers including Dr. Gustavo Bobonis (University of Toronto), attorney Noelí Pérez de la Torre, Hon. Raiza Cajigas (judge in specialized gender violence courts), and Dr. Jenice Vázquez Pagán (UPR Río Piedras School of Social Work), and will be moderated by Amanda Soto González, 3L student. The discussion will explore the effectiveness and implications of specialized domestic violence courts in Puerto Rico, with attention to access to justice and protection outcomes. The event will take place on April 16, 2026, from 3:00–5:30 PM at the Aula Magna (L-1) of the University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
