Diane Furstenau

Director of Policy and Program

Diane Furstenau joined ACS in March 2026 and currently serves as Director of Policy and Program.

Prior to joining ACS, Diane was a Senior Program Manager at Freedom House, covering the organization's democracy, human rights, and rule of law projects in Africa.  Diane began her career at the Public International Law and Policy Group, where she managed transitional justice and counter-terrorism programs in South Sudan, Kosovo, Iraq, Kenya, Syria, and Tanzania.

Diane received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania, her MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and her JD from Cornell Law School.
