Rights at the Border and Beyond

Mississippi College School of Law, Jackson, MS

The MS College School of Law American Constitution Society chapter, in partnership with the International Law Society, is proud to present "Rights at the Border and Beyond" — a timely discussion on domestic constitutional protections and international obligations in the context of immigration enforcement.

Our featured speaker, Former Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Ryan R. Wood, brings a rare and comprehensive perspective to this conversation. Having served in a leadership capacity overseeing multiple immigration courts, Judge Wood's extensive adjudicatory experience positions him as a uniquely authoritative voice on the intersection of immigration law, due process, and constitutional rights — both domestically and internationally.

This event will explore what individuals are entitled to under U.S. constitutional protections as well as the international legal obligations that shape immigration enforcement. Whether you are a law student, practitioner, or engaged citizen, this is an opportunity to deepen your understanding of one of today's most pressing legal issues.

Join us on April 2nd, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 12:50 PM in Room 150. Lunch will be provided.
