Due Process Denied: Confronting ICE's Unlawful Power and Civil Rights Violations
National Lawyer's Guild, in partnership with ACS and ILA, is hosting an immigration panel addressing the Trump administration's unconstitutional increase in civil rights violations through ICE kidnappings and deportations. This discussion will highlight the legal, social, and humanitarian implications of these violations, with a focus on immigrant rights advocacy, international perspectives, and youth defense. We hope to provide a forum for critical dialogue on immigration and civil rights, as well as build law student engagement with immigrant justice organizations, and offer networking opportunities for students to directly engage with immigration practitioners and legal aid organizations. (Our chapter is co-sponsoring this event as it is primarily NLG's event.)
