Immigration Enforcement & Detention Under Trump
ACS and ACLU of Georgetown University Law Center present Immigration Enforcement & Detainment Under Trump: Constitutionality, Impacts, and Fighting Back, Monday 9/15 at 5:00pm in Gewirz 12.
Please join ACLU of DC Staff Attorney, Aditi Shah, Clinical Teaching Fellow and Supervising Attorney at the Center for Applied Legal Studies, Sophia Genovese, and Counsel with the House Judiciary Committee, Julie Fattal, for a panel discussing a range of topics on the ongoing increased enforcement of immigration policies under the Second Trump Administration.
Questions about inhumane detainment conditions of migrants including in facilities such as "Alligator Alcatraz," civil challenges to executive orders and immigration policies in the wake of Trump v. CASA, and many others are on many of our student body's mind as we ask those in the immigration law and policy world: what can be done?
Pizza will be served! Any accommodations requests can be sent to georgetownacs@georgetown.edu.
