A Hard Look at Textualism

Professor Joseph Kimble from WMU -- Cooley Law School will be making a hard look at textualism. Professor Kimble will be reviewing some of the most fascinating cases that courts have grappled with applying textual canons. How better drafting could have avoided interpretative issues? Are the textual canons sound? What merits did the arguments in these cases serve? He will present evidence on the question of whether textualism is the neutral, objective, or nonideological approach that it claims to be.
