Race Conscious Admissions and Higher Ed Policy

Join the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and Suffolk’s ACS Student Chapter to learn about the latest threat to race-conscious admission policies in higher education. The Lawyers’ Committee will present on relevant law and describe both the Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. Harvard and SFFA v. UNC case. The Lawyers’ Committee – along with a coalition of other civil rights groups – submitted an amicus brief to support Harvard’s motion for summary judgement in the lawsuit. A panel discussion and brief reception will follow.
