2012 ACS National Convention: "Democracy at Stake"

The ACS Convention will bring together more than 1,000 of the nation's top lawyers, judges, law students, policymakers, scholars and activists to learn, debate and strategize. It will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with exciting speakers, participate in rigorous debate and discussion of critical legal and public policy issues, network with lawyers and company representatives from around the country, and contribute to the development of a progressive vision of the Constitution, the law and public policy.

We have a terrific collection of featured speakers – U.S.Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, U.S. Senator Tom Harkin, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray, and California Supreme Court Justice Goodwin Liu. Participants also get to choose from 15 panel discussions on a range of cutting-edge law and policy topics, including health care reform, state immigration laws, marriage equality, economic and racial inequality, voting rights, Citizens United, juvenile justice and climate change.
