ACS Conference Call: Voter ID Cases in Wisconsin and Texas: What’s Next?
On Thursday, July 29, 2016, ACS hosted a conference call discussing monumental decisions in the Wisconsin and Texas voter ID cases. J. Gerald Hebert, executive director and director of litigation at the Campaign Legal Center, and Sean J. Young, senior staff attorney at the ACLU, examined both cases and their impact on other voter suppression measures as we approach the first presidential election without the protections of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.
