Director of Network Advancement
Faisal Sheikh joined the American Constitution Society in March 2017 and Director of Network Advancement, working on ACS’s State Attorneys General Project.
Before joining ACS, Sheikh was the Associate Director of the National State Attorneys General Program at Columbia Law School, working on policy issues ranging from the role of state attorneys general in protecting immigrant communities to state regulations and enforcement of the nonprofit sector. He previously was an Assistant Attorney General with the New York Attorney General’s Office, representing the state in lawsuits in state and federal courts. He has also worked in a municipal government role as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Yonkers and in the Pension Benefits Unit of South Brooklyn Legal Services.
Sheikh received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. in history from Trinity College. In law school, he was a recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award.
