Assistant Director of Chapters
Chris Lin joined ACS in March 2020 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Chapters for the Northeast Region. In this role, he advances the next generation of progressive leaders by supporting existing ACS chapters, cultivating opportunities to expand the ACS network, and building sustainable relationships to further ACS’s mission while promoting diversity and inclusion.
Before attending law school, Lin worked in federal government in D.C. and then local government in his hometown of Pittsburgh. He also used to serve on the board of the Pennsylvania Young Democrats as its Minority Outreach Coordinator.
Lin graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Economics. He then obtained a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown, with a concentration in Homeland Security. He earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was President of the ACS Student Chapter and the Temple Law Democrats. Lin obtained a Peggy Browning Fellowship to advance workers’ rights, and as a Rubin-Presser Social Justice Fellow assisted ACLU-PA’s effort to clear the criminal records of the indigent. Lin is currently an elected committeeperson and active with APABA-PA and APALA-Philly.
Lin is based in Philadelphia, where he is always looking for new recipes and boardgames to try.
