Vice President of Development & Senior Counsel
Belinda Macauley joined ACS in 2014 and currently serves as Vice President of Development and Senior Counsel. She leads the fundraising team charged with ensuring that ACS has the necessary resources to further a progressive vision of the Constitution. She is also involved in ACS’s organizational long-term strategy and positioning.
Before joining ACS, Macauley was a consultant specializing in class action settlements, a policy attorney at NARAL Pro-Choice America, executive director of a legal services nonprofit that served DC residents, and a criminal prosecutor in California.
Macauley received her J.D. from George Washington University and her B.A. in political science with a concentration in American government from the University of Washington. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and an inactive member of the State Bar of California. She lives in Thousand Oaks, California with her husband, young daughter, and two energetic rescue dogs.
