Issue: Criminal Justice

Our nation’s criminal justice systems should produce accurate and just outcomes reached through fair processes, and must address longstanding racial and economic disparities within the systems. Among the issues ACS examines in this area are police accountability, prosecutorial power, the right to counsel, bail, fees and fines, sentencing, mass incarceration, conditions of confinement, and gun violence prevention.
