Nancy Rodriguez leads ACS’s media relations strategy as part of the Communications Department. Before joining ACS, Rodriguez was a journalist for nearly 20 years, focusing on education, state government and the impact of both on students and their families.
Rodriguez has been a communications and media relations professional since 2011. She served seven years as the Assistant Director of Communications and Media Liaison for the Kentucky Department of Education and, most recently, was press secretary for the Council of Chief State School Officers, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states and other U.S. jurisdictions.
Rodriguez received her B.A. from Hofstra University in English with minors in communications and international affairs and holds a Master’s in communications from Bellarmine University. She also has a Certificate in Social Media Management from Georgetown University.
A native Rhode Islander, Rodriguez lives in Virginia with her husband and son.
Aidan Beals joined ACS in July 2019 and currently serves as a Digital Strategy Associate. He provides digital strategy support and assists with general media relations, as well as designing communications campaigns and drafting reports on metrics. He is involved with the creation and implementation of ACS's email marketing and website strategy.
Before joining ACS, Beals was an intern in the Labor Policy office of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions in the office of the ranking member. In addition to other internships in Congress, local government, and policy groups, Beals has led local political organizations and participated extensively in the local electoral process.
Beals graduated from the University of California San Diego in 2019 with a B.A. in Political Science/Public Policy magna cum laude. Besides studying and participating in local politics, Beals spends his time cooking, hiking, and wishing he could surf.
Alex Beszhak joined ACS in July 2017 and currently serves as the Digital Strategy Associate. He is involved with the creation and implementation of ACS's email marketing and website strategy as well as overseeing ACS live event recording.
Before joining ACS, Beszhak was an intern for Americans for Financial Reform’s Stop The Debt Trap campaign and a Web Development Assistant at the National Council for Behavioral Health.
Beszhak received his B.A. in political science and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016. In his free time, he enjoys preparing and eating food from around the world, cycling and oxford commas.
