Paul Guequierre joined the American Constitution Society in May 2014 and is the Director of Communications. In this role, he works to increase ACS’s profile in the media and raise the visibility of issues important to ACS and its membership.
Prior to joining ACS, Paul was the deputy director of communications at the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization. At HRC, he worked on a variety of issues and campaigns, including the repeal of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, marriage equality, corporate and healthcare equality and more. Paul’s communications experience also includes serving as the communications manager at the National Criminal Justice Association, as the public and media relations officer at the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance under Gov. Jim Doyle and as a television news reporter.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from American University.
