Meghan Paulas joined ACS in May 2015 and currently serves as the Director of Student Chapters. In this capacity, she manages the existing network of ACS student chapters, facilitates the programming of student chapters, seeks opportunities to found new ACS student chapters, builds and maintains relationships with faculty advisors, and integrates student chapter activities and chapter members into ACS’s substantive initiatives and network of members.
Before joining ACS, Meghan served as a Supervising Attorney Advisor at the Social Security Administration, Chicago Office of Disability, Adjudication & Review, and as the Assistant General Counsel of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. Meghan also served as the Chair of the ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter Board of Directors.
Meghan graduated from the James Madison College at Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations and Policy. She earned her Juris Doctorate from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. While at Chicago-Kent, Meghan held leadership positions with the ACS Student Chapter. She also was an Honors Scholar and was active with the Criminal Law Defense Clinic.
Meghan lives in Chicago with her husband, two sons and dog Bailey. She currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Chicago Council of Lawyers.
